Amaiya Hall is an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist based in Tennessee who believes therapy should be a space where you can show up as your full self, without judgment, without having to have everything figured out, and without feeling like you have to navigate life alone. She is especially passionate about working with women, with a particular focus on supporting BIPOC women as they navigate their mental health, relationships, identity, and personal growth.

Amaiya earned her Bachelor of Science in Psychology from Mississippi State University and her Master of Arts in Marriage and Family Therapy from Lipscomb University. She has experience providing individual, couples, and family therapy in outpatient settings and takes a relational, collaborative approach to her work. She believes that understanding the relationships and experiences that have shaped us can be an important part of understanding where we are today and where we want to go next.

Her clinical interests include BIPOC women’s mental health, anxiety and depression, relationship and attachment concerns, trauma-informed care, and ADHD and neurodivergence. Amaiya especially enjoys working with women who are navigating seasons of change, questioning old expectations, trying to understand themselves more deeply, or learning how to prioritize their own needs while balancing relationships, family, career, and everything in between.

Amaiya draws from Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), Internal Family Systems (IFS), and Emotionally Focused Therapy (EFT), tailoring her approach to each client rather than believing there is one “right” way to do therapy. She has also completed Level 1 training in the Gottman Method for Couples Therapy. Her goal is to help clients build a stronger understanding of themselves, develop healthier ways of coping, feel more secure in their relationships, and create meaningful change that extends beyond the therapy room.

Most importantly, Amaiya wants her clients to feel comfortable being real. Therapy does not have to be a place where you say all the “right” things or show up with everything neatly figured out. It can be a place to laugh, cry, unpack the complicated stuff, ask the hard questions, and sometimes just say, “I honestly don't know.” Amaiya meets clients where they are and works alongside them to figure out where they want to go from there.

She hopes that every client leaves therapy feeling a little more understood, a little more confident in themselves, and a little more equipped to handle whatever comes next.  Sometimes you just need a safe space, someone in your corner, and the freedom to grow into who you are becoming.

If you’re ready to give yourself that space, Amaiya would love to meet you. Come as you are, bring whatever you’re carrying, and take the first step toward feeling more like yourself again. There’s room for you to grow, heal, and bloom.
